 Fundraising Friday: 20 November 2015

This year’s Fundraising Friday will take place on Friday 20 November. The challenge will be distance based and we will be releasing more news very soon. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages for the latest updates.

stress awareness

As part of the 17th annual National Stress Awareness Day on Wednesday 4 November, we will be offering free office-based massages for groups of up to six staff (minimum of five staff per office).

The morning slots will commence at 9.30am and the afternoon slots at 2pm.

All massages will be 20 minutes long and will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Bookings open from 3pm on Thursday 22 October. To book your free massage, please email Sam Fuller at s.n.fuller@sussex.ac.uk from 3pm on Thursday. Emails received before this time will not be registered.

The theme of this year’s National Stress Awareness Day is ‘Employee Wellbeing as a Worthwhile Investment in Your Business’.

One way to ease stress for some people is mindfulness. Lead Chaplain, Rev Chris McDermott, will be offering sessions of mindful sitting and relaxation on 4 November at 9.30am and 12 noon as part of National Stress Awareness Day.

These sessions, which take place in the Meeting House, also run every Monday at 1pm, Wednesday at 9.30am and 12 noon, and Friday at 1pm. There is no need to book for mindfulness sessions, just turn up.
