Spring is well underway and we’re already beginning to feel the seasonal transition. It’s a new phase for the year, the University, and for the SAAT programme.
Since launching in 2015, SAAT has engaged with over 130 staff members and 60 students to design 12 services. Six service teams are already ‘in transition’, implementing improvement actions and moving towards a service-oriented way of working. We’ve gone through a rigorous procurement process to ensure we’ve selected the best of the breed in Student Information Systems, and the team have been busy preparing the datasets in preparation for its implementation.
The selection of TechnologyOne as our supplier signifies a key milestone in the journey of the programme, and marks an exciting new phase in the project. From May 2017, TechnologyOne will be working closely with our team, setting up and configuring the system prototype. Alongside this, the SAAT team will continue our work designing the student services, supporting the service teams, and preparing the student data for the implementation of the new system.
The SAAT blog is the place to come to find out the latest developments in the SAAT programme. Here we’ll be posting news and events, updating with progress from the service teams, and keeping you up to date with the latest on the SAAT team’s activities.
Welcome to spring, and welcome to the SAAT blog!
