This workshop took place on January 20 2017 and focused on forms of cognitive
\nautomation that inspire contemporary concern about a \u2018rise of the robots\u2019, anxiety
\nconcerning the replacement of human labour by computational processes, algorithms
\nand machine learning. Methods and resources evaluated here data-led analysis of big data and automation anxiety as an historical topos.<\/p>\n
