We welcome contributions from staff as well as external collaborators. All submissions are assigned to a reviewer who will get in touch to discuss next steps.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The autonomy of academics to make their own curriculum choices, as highly specialised experts in their field, is a fundamental aspect of higher education. All guidance provided should be used to facilitate excellence in pedagogy, rigour in knowledge, and freedom of speech. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/learning-matters\/category\/case-studies\/\">1. Case study<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Case studies for <em>Learning Matters<\/em> offer a brief overview of an aspect of teaching and learning that has had a positive impact on students. These case studies also provide helpful tips for faculty wishing to do something similar in their own classes. If you are interested in submitting a case study to <em>Learning Matters<\/em>, please complete this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sussex.box.com\/s\/vd7gbpb5b3o26kqmkgzrq3744lilu839\" target=\"_blank\">case study questionnaire<\/a> and email your responses to <a href=\"mailto:educationalenhancement@sussex.ac.uk\">educationalenhancement@sussex.ac.uk<\/a>. Alternatively, you can schedule a quick interview with someone from Educational Enhancement who will write up your case study.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/learning-matters\/category\/blog\/\">2. Blog<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Blogs for <em>Learning Matters<\/em> are typically grounded in educational research. Authors may draw on literature and evidence-based practices to support their ideas and recommendations. While content is research-informed, blogs for <em>Learning Matters <\/em>aim to present information in a way that is accessible to a wide audience. For further information, see <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sussex.box.com\/s\/pw4zlo9ncbqj1et5csm10521lcj1jms9\" target=\"_blank\">Blog scope and style guidance<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/learning-matters\/category\/articles\/\">3. Article<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Writers interested in contributing longer pieces to <em>Learning Matters<\/em> can opt to submit an article. For a list of suggested genres, see our <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sussex.box.com\/s\/nyh7r1k25ed7gu3xfhmxm08pqjskai1i\" target=\"_blank\">Article scope and style guidance.<\/a>&nbsp; Please note that these genres are not prescriptive: you are welcome to approach your article creatively in ways that meet your scholarship goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/learning-matters\/category\/podcast\/\">4. Podcast<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Learning Matters Podcast captures insights into, experiences of, and conversations around education at the University of Sussex. The Podcast is hosted by Wendy Garnham, Professor of Psychology and Dr. Heather Taylor, Lecturer in Psychology. The podcast runs monthly, and each month is centred around a particular higher education theme (we welcome your suggestions on this).
