IEEE Xplore new interface

IEEE has now got a new interface.
IEEE Xplore includes the full text of IEEE journals, conference proceedings, and standards.
You can see the new interface by going to:
http://ieeexplorepreview.ieee.org
Major new features include:
- “type-ahead” technology — a list of search suggestions is made when you type in keywords in the search box (try typing “network” for an example of this).
- the same feature is present for journal title and conference title searching (from the browse pages). You can also now browse journals and conferences by subject.
- when you go to a page for an individual conference, the table of contents for the conference is clearly displayed (instead of hidden behind a link as in the old Xplore). Conference title histories are also now linked.
- search results can now be easily refined by subject, year, author, affiliation, publication title, type of publication
- You can now create your own account to save searches and set up alerts.
Anyone who has set up table of contents alerting in the old Xplore will need to create a new personal account and re-do their alerts; the old alerts will expire when the new interface arrives.
