Claire Colburn in CEC is collecting food donations to take to the Whitehawk Foodbank http:\/\/thewhitehawk.foodbank.org.uk\/<\/a>\u00a0 The collection point is in the staff room (underneath the health and safety poster)<\/p>\n Over a million people relied on foodbanks in 2014-15 (compared to 40,000 in 2008-9) and this number is, sadly, expected to increase: www.trusselltrust.org\/stats<\/a><\/p>\n Please help by bringing in what you can and donating to this really important service.\u00a0 All items should be non-perishable and unopened. Food products are the most needed donations but personal\/family hygiene items are also needed; nappies, soap, female sanitary products etc.\u00a0 A list of good items is here http:\/\/thewhitehawk.foodbank.org.uk\/resources\/documents\/foodbank\/The-Whitehawk-Shopping-List.pdf<\/a><\/p>\n If you’re shopping and see a BOGOF deal and only need one, why not donate the free one?
