In a slight change to the usual format, Library pets have hijacked the
Q&A for Wellbeing week. Next up, it’s a variety of ferocious hounds from Tina, and Julia’s cat Fizzles.
If you’d like to submit your answers to the Q+A, fill out the template and

Tell us about yourself, where you live and with who…
Murphy, Roisin, Mimi (we have lots of names…). We live with our mamas Tina & Bev Ryan-Hawes and some other furries called Dennis and Didier.
Murphy: “My mum says I’m a Shih Tzu/Jack Russell cross whatever that is, a real big tough dog I expect cause all the girls love me and I’m big and strong. And I used to be called Rocky. Me and some guy called Jesus have the same birthday.”
Roisin: “I’m a staffie cross. I’m the tough one. I was found starving on the streets of London, and I was bitten by a snake, and I like to kill things.”
Mimi: “I’m a yorkie cross. I’m the brave and pretty one and I’m an Essex girl. I protect my mama to the death. I’ve only got 1 and a half ears as Roisin bit it off.”
What do you do all day while your owner is at work?
Sleep, guard the house, chew our feet, listen to the radio and wait for mamas to come home and take us out.
What is your favourite song?
Murphy: “Anything that distracts the others so as I can get the cat food.”
Roisin: “Stormzy. He’s from south London like me, we both from the streets.”
Mimi: “Happy Birthday. Mamas are always happy when they sing this song. I want it to be Happy Birthday every day.”
How do you support your owner’s wellbeing?
Give them lots of walks. We even bring them out in the cold, rain and wind (which none of us like but they always want to go). When they sit on the sofa we all pile on top so they can’t move and have to relax.
What is your favourite food?
Cat food but we’re not supposed to have it but we all try to steal it from Dennis and Didier because they get to eat it for some reason.
What keeps you awake at night?
Murphy: “Roisin snoring.”
Roisin: “Nothing.”
Mimi: “Mamas snoring.”
How would you spend your paw-fect day?
Nice big walk with mamas and then big sleep on the sofa with mamas and then cat food or chicken for dinner.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Murphy: “The Gruffalo.”
Roisin: “Vinny Jones.”
Mimi: “a Disney Princess.”

Tell us about yourself, where you live and with who…
I’m Fizzles, a.k.a Fizzy, a.k.a Monsieur Fizzles, I’m an 8 year old rescue cat and I live with Julia and her partner Sharron.
What do you do all day while your owner is at work?
I make my humans think that I have been waiting by the door starving all day when really I have been sleeping, or sitting in the sun if it’s a nice day or chasing pompoms around the house, they are my favourite.
What is your favourite song?
Ace of Spades by Motorhead.
How do you support your owner’s wellbeing?
I let them scratch my armpits until I bite them I also try and sleep on their heads in the middle of the night so they know I care. I dribble on them and sometimes let them pick me up like a baby until I bite them. I also sleep very close to their heads and on their pillows to show I care.
What is your favourite food?
Cheese and egg (but they will insist on feeding my Whiskers every day).
What keeps you awake at night?
Worrying when my next meal is going to arrive. Everything in my human’s bedroom that I need to scratch up in the early hours of the night.
How would you spend your paw-fect day?
Eating, sleeping, eating, basking in the sun, eating, having my arm pits scratched eating. Sitting on my box and meowing until I wear my human down and she gives me biscuits.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Vinnie Jones.
