P.J.

Tell us about yourself, where you live and with who…

I am a most handsome white and tan Jack Russell. I was born in Ireland, came over to England with the Dog’s Trust. I now live with Sarah & Deb in Woodingdean, who adopted me almost 10 years ago (They are so lucky!!)  I think I am about 13ish…??!!

What do you do all day while your owner is at work?

SLEEP…dream, think of ways to get back at the cat that sits on MY fence and slowly licks her paws, with a certain look on her face that says…’you can’t get me, feeble little dog!’

What is your favourite song?

I like to move it – Will.I.Am

How do you support your owner’s wellbeing?

I allow them to have me on their lap, cuddle, fuss and kiss me.

What is your favourite food?

Raw carrots…yummy! What, what?? Never heard of a dog who like vegetables?!

What keeps you awake at night?

Foxes mating call….. Fireworks, if I get cold…brrr

How would you spend your paw-fect day?

Spend the morning running, walking, chasing things and digging; the afternoon, sleeping in the sun, cuddling owners, dreaming about the cute little dog up the road & catching THE cat… ahhhhhh.

Who would play you in a film of your life?

Damian Lewis because he is: Ginger, Dapper, Cheeky & a LOVER!

Tell us about yourself, where you live and with who…

Hi, I’m the Fox and I live in the garden at Carey Down in Peacehaven with Lisa (Academic Services Manager), her partner Dez and her son Ruaridh. I’m not massively fond of the humans there, as it was my garden first.

What do you do all day while your owner is at work?

Mostly I like to dig up the garden and in a year’s time, I hope to have completely destroyed the garden shed. I also sleep a fair bit and torment the seagulls.

What is your favourite song?

Daft Punk – Get Lucky. I definitely like to keep those humans awake all night.

How do you support your owner’s wellbeing?

I enjoy keeping her mentally active by stealing things from the garden, including washing from the line, if she is stupid enough to leave it low hanging.

What is your favourite food?

Anything from the bin. Seagull. Sometimes Lisa will sneak me sausages on the sly, but no one is meant to know about that.

What keeps you awake at night?

Fighting with other foxes.

How would you spend your paw-fect day?

I would love to get inside the house and get some proper food for once. I’d also love to get in the laundry basket – there are some white school polo shirts with my name on them. I’ve coveted them for some time and I almost got them last summer when they were left outside to soak. So close.

Who would play you in a film of your life?

George Clooney has already obliged.

Chloe's dog, Ivy
Ivy

Tell us about yourself, where you live and with who…

My name is Ivy and I live with my Mum (Chloe) and 4 boys (including my Dad) in windy Woodingdean.

What do you do all day while your owner is at work?

I am really lucky, my Mum is around the first part of the week to do long, muddy walks and play ball. When the house is empty I love to walk with my crew in the morning then snuggle in my bed with an oven glove and some stolen tea towels until everyone is home!

What is your favourite song?

I’m a 6 Music fan by day and love the voice of Lauren Laverne – anything she plays goes down well.

How do you support your owner’s wellbeing?

I give the best cuddles, listen to the worries of everyone in the house and keep Mum’s feet warm when she’s cooking, which is a very important role to have!

What is your favourite food?

I’m partial to wooden spoons and I ate 16 cup cakes in one go a few weeks back, that was a fun day!

What keeps you awake at night?

The wind!!

How would you spend your paw-fect day?

A muddy walk across the top of Sheepcote Valley, saying hello to all the other playful doggies and rolling in the occasional poo, finished off with ball fetching until Mum’s had enough. Stealing a few carrot peelings at tea time always makes my day, followed by evening snuggles in the lounge when I’m allowed on the sofa (if Dad’s out!).

Who would play you in a film of your life?

Someone black and shiny with beautiful almond eyes and a very wet nose!
