{"id":320,"date":"2012-10-24T10:33:20","date_gmt":"2012-10-24T10:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/observingthe80s\/?p=320"},"modified":"2012-11-14T13:02:19","modified_gmt":"2012-11-14T13:02:19","slug":"dissemination-repositories-and-social-media","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/observingthe80s\/2012\/10\/24\/dissemination-repositories-and-social-media\/","title":{"rendered":"Dissemination, repositories and social media"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While final work is going on to put all of the many links to the digitised materials \u00a0into our OER, we&#8217;re also now focusing on how we&#8217;re going to get our resources seen and used. \u00a0As well as the university&#8217;s own research repository, <a href=\"http:\/\/sro.sussex.ac.uk\/\">Sussex Research Online<\/a>, \u00a0where we hope eventually to place all of our digitised research data, we have applied to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.esds.ac.uk\/qualidata\/about\/introduction.asp\">ESDS Qualidata<\/a> too and are currently waiting to hear whether they will accept our data. \u00a0 We will also be putting our OER and links to the raw digitised resources into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jorum.ac.uk\/\">Jorum<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/humbox.ac.uk\/\">Humbox<\/a>. \u00a0All of the Mass Observation and ephemera materials will also be available in the University&#8217;s Special Collections <a href=\"http:\/\/prism.talis.com\/sussex-ac\/\">catalogue,<\/a> which although not currently findable via Google, should become so when Special Collections moves to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastsussex.gov.uk\/leisureandtourism\/localandfamilyhistory\/esro\/thekeep\/default.htm\">The Keep<\/a> next year.<\/p>\n<p>In order to make sure that people can find our stuff, we&#8217;re now planning to use this blog as the main location for accessing our raw data resources (eg the Mass Observation correspondent responses and ephemera documents), which are already available on Google Drive. \u00a0It will also provide the link to the British Library Sound Archive, where there will be a newly-created Observing the 1980s page giving access to full versions of the oral history interviews. \u00a0Also available here will be the link to our OER which includes multiple extracts from the MO and ephemera materials as well as from the oral history interviews (that &#8216;multiple&#8217;
