It will take place on <strong>Friday May 8th, 2026<\/strong>. Please make a note in your diary and keep this date free.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we plan our event for the new academic year, this is a <strong>call for volunteers<\/strong> to form part of the steering group for the festival.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The time commitment is minimal (3-4 meetings between October and May) to explore possible themes and formats, draft a Call for Participation, receive expressions of interest and curate the programme for the day. It\u2019s an excellent resource for those undertaking projects to enhance the student experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Scholarship at Sussex webpage<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We are pleased to announce that we now have a <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/teaching\/scholarship-of-teaching\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scholarship at Sussex<\/a> webpage, which provides a broad definition of what constitutes scholarship for our Education and Scholarship (E&amp;S) colleagues and aligns with the promotion criteria. It also includes some nice examples of scholarship from colleagues across the institution. The webpage may be useful for people on the E&amp;S track and other staff with an interest in education and scholarship, so please do share when appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Education and Innovation Fund<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The funding for the Education and Innovation Fund has now finished, and there are no plans for any further funding, but we recently published a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/tel\/2025\/09\/12\/education-and-innovation-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog<\/a> post about the outcomes of the EIF
