We aim to be highly visible so you will see us \u2018out and about\u2019 in schools working with staff, getting to know you and your students, and identifying your individual and disciplinary specific learning technology needs.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\"><b>Technology for Teaching and Learning<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">The blog will be updated weekly with posts addressing a range of technology related trends, topics and developments across the HE sector. Future posts will:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"color: #000000\">\n<li>offer advice on creating engaging and interactive Study Direct modules<\/li>\n<li>report on educational technology events organised or attended by the TEL team<\/li>\n<li>provide reviews of educational apps or tools which are\u00a0making an impact in HE<\/li>\n<li>always include links to valuable ideas and resources!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">We are enhancement focused and aim to highlight examples of good practice in learning technologies at Sussex, institutions in the UK and globally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">Our objective is to inform and inspire you, and most importantly, give you the confidence to try new technologies in your teaching practice. In this vein, we will soon be running \u2018Ten Days of Twitter,\u2019 a learning development course (originally developed by\u00a0<a title=\"Dr Helen Webster\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/scholastic_rat\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Helen Webster<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Anglia Ruskin University) \u00a0that will introduce both \u2018brand new\u2019 and \u2018nearly new\u2019 users to\u00a0<a title=\"Link to Twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Twitter<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a powerful tool for sharing information, finding out news from colleagues, and making new connections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>A-Z List of Apps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\">We have put together a useful\u00a0<a title=\"Link to A-Z of apps\" href=\"http:\/\/sussextel.wordpress.com\/resources-a-z\/\" target=\"_blank\">A-Z list<\/a>\u00a0of mobile apps for teaching staff at Sussex. There might be apps that you are already familiar with but you are likely to find a new interesting app that you could use in your teaching &#8211; or for personal curation, bookmarking or web management. We\u2019ll be posting app reviews to this blog and updating this list in the months ahead so do revisit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000\"><strong>Blog?
