Below is an example of one of the questions posed. See <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.brighton.ac.uk\/elearningteam\/2016\/03\/09\/appswap-speed-blog-anchor-fm-like-twitter-for-audio\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anchor.FM like Twitter for Audio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fiona McNeil<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, (Learning Technologies Adviser at University of Brighton) for more teaching and learning ideas, such as:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">question and answer <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">sharing best practice<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">exploring a language<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reading literature<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">remotely interviewing a notable speaker <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anchor FM is a great way to include everybody. However, you must download the app to a Smartphone to respond and it is not yet possible to record online. In addition, Anchor FM is a public space and anyone can\u00a0find and listen to your Wave. There is not yet an option to make Waves private or available only to a small group.<\/p>\n<h3><b>How do I use Anchor FM?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Download the app for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=fm.anchor.android\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Android<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/app\/apple-store\/id1056182234?mt=8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">iPhone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Once it is installed, open up the app and then click on \u2018Get Started\u2019 and sign up with your email. Make sure you have your headphones plugged in as you\u2019ll be talked through the signup process. You can add a profile picture or \u2018skip\u2019 this section and go straight into the Anchor app. You\u2019ll be taken to the live Anchor FM \u2018Waves\u2019 &#8211; this is the term for conversations on Anchor FM. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anchor will send you an email with a handy guide to using the app. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When exploring Anchor, you will see the most popular questions posed. For each question, there will be a play button which will indicate how many responses have been collected and how many times the audio posts (known as Waves) have been listened to. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are a number of features in Anchor FM that you will already be familiar with if you are a Twitter or Facebook user. For example, there is a \u2018Like\u2019 button to press if you like a Wave. There is an \u2018Echo\u2019 which allows you to repost in the essence of retweeting to your followers.
