Each of these posts will showcase a great feature within Canvas that you can use to enhance you and your students\u2019 experience. Canvas will be used for all Sussex modules from the beginning of the 2018\/19 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019re going to start with something nearly everybody uses, quizzes. In Canvas as you\u2019ll see in the brief intro video below, quizzes are easy to set-up, author and build into your assessment cycle.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Quizzes in Canvas\" width=\"550\" height=\"309\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pIr87D7XXBY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Question types include: <\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Numerical answer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Formula answer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Multiple answers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Multiple blanks<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Matching and more\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other notable features:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Shuffle answers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Randomise from banks of questions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Set as an anonymous survey rather than a quiz<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And much more&#8230;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Canvas allows you to schedule the same quiz at different times to different groups, for example for students with reasonable adjustments, and makes it easy to provide feedback for correct responses, incorrect responses, general comments and per answer option.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We think you\u2019re going to love the reliability and how easy it is to create and administer quizzes.
