These tools allow you to further guide your students through your module, directing them through the resources and requiring them to complete certain elements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>What are Requirements?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Requirements are a series of actions that you require your students to carry out before they \u2018Complete\u2019 that section of content. This is set up in the Units area of your site. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Depending on the type of activity or resource you have added to your Unit you can require students to:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">View an item<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mark an item as \u2018done\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contribute to a page or discussion<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Submit an assignment or quiz<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Score a certain mark or above in an assignment or quiz<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Your requirements for each Unit can include one or more of the above requirements. Adding activities, such as Quizzes, will add more requirements options. Repeat this step to add multiple requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b>Step 4<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">: Click <\/span><b>Update unit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What are Prerequisites?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Prerequisites take this a step further by stopping students from viewing a Unit until they have completed the requirements of the previous Unit. This allows you to lock content until certain actions have been completed. It allows you to encourage students to engage with required activities, stopping them from progressing until they have done so, whilst also enabling students to manage their studies by tracking their progress and easily picking up where they have left off.
