There will be a Q+A session on Wednesday, 6 December, covering the new ACR process and Student Voice.   Please see our <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/teaching\/enhancement\/events\/item?id=62551\">Events<\/a> page for a sign up link.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Blog on Virtual Learning Environments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>EE Learning Technologist, Rachael Thomas, reflects on her daughter\u2019s experience of VLE in her <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/tel\/2023\/10\/24\/virtual-learning-environments-a-parents-perspective\/\">blog post<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Featured AD workshop:\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each month we feature one of our menu of staff development workshops, all of which can be tailored workshop for course teams, departments and schools. <a href=\"educationalenhancement@sussex.ac.uk\">Email<\/a> us to find out more.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This month\u2019s featured workshop is \u2018Alternative Assessments\u2019.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Explores the benefits and challenges of designing and implementing alternative assessments.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>A range of options for diversifying assessments,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>How these changes may improve student experience and make assessments more AI resilient.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of these options aim to assess students in an \u2018authentic\u2019 way, enabling students to apply their learning to different contexts and situations.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Globally Networked Learning session<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We will be holding two sessions of Globally Networked Learning, on <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/teaching\/enhancement\/events\/item?id=62539\">Monday, 27 November<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/teaching\/enhancement\/events\/item?id=62540\">Wednesday, 6 December<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Sussex Scholarship Programme<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The next session of our <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.sussex.ac.uk\/courses\/14472\/pages\/resources-to-support-scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sussex Scholarship Programme<\/a> (23\/24), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/using-elements-to-build-your-scholarship-profile-tickets-703148976517?aff=oddtdtcreator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Using Elements to Build your Scholarship Profile<\/a>, takes place on the ground floor of the Library on Tuesday, 21 November (11.00-12.30) and will be hosted by Maggie Symes (Research and Open Scholarship Librarian). This will be a hands-on workshop and opportunities will be provided for participants to work on their own Elements profiles and ask questions. Computers will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own devices. The workshop itself will last around 30-40 minutes, but participants are welcome to stay afterwards to continue building their profile, ask questions, and network.
