The event will be held over two days. You can attend the Festival in-person (9.30-4pm on 10 July) in the Woodland Rooms at the Student Centre and\/or online (10-3pm on 11 July)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Upcoming scholarship event: Presenting your scholarship to different audiences: impact and outreach<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr James Williams (Senior Lecturer in Science Education) leads this face-to-face workshop on presenting your scholarship to different audiences. Whether speaking on BBC radio, writing for peer reviewed journals, his weekly column in the Argus, or a chapter in an academic book, James adapts both content and delivery for his specific audience. This hands-on workshop utilises James\u2019 experience and provides you with the opportunity to present your scholarship to different audiences, helping you achieve recognition, impact and outreach. <strong>Location: Pevensey 1B2. blogs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning Matters have published new <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/learning-matters\/2024\/06\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blogs<\/a> on <em>Guessing and Gender Bias in Multiple-Choice Quizzes with Negative Marking<\/em> and <em>Measuring educational gain through Assurance of Learning (AoL), <\/em>and Learning Technologist Helen Morley has recently published a <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.sussex.ac.uk\/tel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog<\/a> titled <em>Preferred Platforms and Piloted Products<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Education and Innovation Fund<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for the next round of applications for the <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/teaching\/fund\">Education and Innovation Fund<\/a> is Friday 26 July, and the winners will be announced shortly afterwards.\u00a0\u00a0 Please note, this is the last funding round in this cycle.\u00a0 Congratulations to all the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/staff.sussex.ac.uk\/news\/article\/64717-six-more-projects-awarded-up-to-5000-from-the-education-and-innovation-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">winning conference, organized by the University of Nottingham, which we are hosting on campus to bring together colleagues who are committed to improving digital accessibility for everyone in our university
