Students seek dogs for study on campus

Our dog research has become even more exciting this week as four of our undergraduate students start their final year projects.

The students will be testing whether dogs link sounds and images and are looking for dogs to participate. The dogs will come onto our campus site and be played sounds while being shown different objects. The tests look at associations between the object and the sound.

The students have worked hard at preparing the study and are really excited to get started.

There’s even a reward for the dogs – a nice bag of treats!

If you would be interested in taking part, please email Dr Holly Root-Gutteridge at H.Root-Gutteridge@sussex.ac.uk and we’ll arrange an appointment day and time that works for you.

Welcome

Welcome to the Reby Lab blog.

We focus on the voice, what it can tell us about the speaker, and how speech is perceived by listeners.

Our study subjects include both humans and animals, in particular domestic dogs.
