In addition to the opportunities offered by the Doctoral School and the Students’ Union, your School will also organise a programme of events. They are mostly promoted by email and sometimes at short notice, so please make sure you check your inbox frequently.

Most seminars (as opposed to purely social events) are open to all researchers, so do take a look to see what’s happening beyond your School. Unfortunately, there’s no consolidated listings, so do keep an eye out for posters and ask around. Some events are added to the University’s Broadcast system and can be viewed online.

Interdisciplinary Centres

There are also a number of interdisciplinary centres at Sussex, bringing together Schools with common research interests.
