Alongside a comprehensive programme of workshops, the Doctoral School also organises a number of social events throughout the year, including a reception for new doctoral researchers, a festive get-together in December, and a barbecue in May (when it’s occasionally warm enough to actually sit outside). These occasions bring everybody together from across different disciplines and offer a great opportunity to increase your network.

One of our most popular workshops is Effective Researcher. This one-day event helps you develop the skills you need to succeed with your doctoral studies and also brings you together with other new researchers.
