Academic Personal Tutors (APTs) play a vital role in helping students make the most of their degree and wider university experience at Sussex. To support colleagues in the role, we have created two short videos introducing the responsibilities of the APT and the training we recommend.

Drawing on the guidance available on the APT webpages, the videos provide a practical overview of what the role involves, what it does not involve, and where to find further support and resources. Taking less than 10 minutes to watch in total, these videos provide a practical introduction to the APT role at Sussex.

These centralised resources are intended to complement, rather than replace, any additional APT training and guidance provided within your Faculty.
